I have the feeling everything started after I let run a CleanMyMac over my machine (please don't shoot me for doing so). If I fire the Glims Agent through terminal (sudo open./ open) nothing happens neither. I am not sure about you, but the new tabs (when you have a lot of them) are really hard to tell one from another. If I double click the Glims Agent (/Library/Application Support/Glims/Agent/Glims Agent.app) nothing happens. Glims for Safari is a input-manager hack (I think) that enables a few ‘nice to have’ features. However, some thoughts others might help me with:Īfter installation with a working GLIMS, activity monitor shows me two time "Glims Agent", one running as root, another one as user. MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10. No icon or tab or anything shows Glims was installed. I contacted the GLIMS developer, but no answer so far. I downloaded Glims for Safari, and restarted Safari. Then reinstalled 1.0.41 a couple of times, but now success. What I did so far: A complete erase of glims (using the uninstaller and then searching with spotlight for all files containing glims in their name and dumping them). Because Safari may not be as versatile as other web browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, it needs plugins to expand its features and capability. Any ideas very welcome, as without Glims, using Safari is just no option anymore. As you know, to the annoyance of some, BookMacster is quite descriptive when it encounters an error.Glims works after re-installing, but doesn't load properly after a restart. But if BookMacster couldn't find the file, I don't know. If you have a Time Machine or similar backup of your ~/Library/Safari/ist file from last week when you had Glims installed and were having the trouble, maybe if you'd shoot that over to us we could reproduce the problem. Seriously, though, although I kind of remember such a thing, I just searched all of our support forums and email archives and couldn't find it. It spices up Safari, in fact, it will add lots of new features to it. One that caught my eye this past week is Glims, by MacHangout. Now, F451, I know you've been using BookMacster since before I was born (I'm giddy today after we finally got BookMacster 1.5 out the door). Glims is a good pack of tools for Safari that will change the way you use your favourite web browser. Even though I’ve only had it installed for a couple days, it’s really made Safari that much more of a pleasure to use. It’s not often I find a program or add-on that I immediately feel the need to tell people about, but I’m compelled to spread the word about Glims. ![]() Did another Add Bookmarks Here in the folder that had the BookMacster/Glims separators, did another import/export round trip, still looks good. One such example is Glims a free plugin packed with useful features. ![]() ![]() Added a couple of separators in BookMacster – Glims displayed them beautifully. I used the Glims Add Bookmarks Here feature, imported to BookMacster, sorted, exported back to Safari. First I tried it on a little test Bookmarkshelf, then my usual 1500 bookmarks. So Glims 1.0b28 works fine for me with BookMacster and Safari. OK, I just tried the download again and found that MacHangout is back in business now. ![]()
